Entrepreneurship cannot be mastered through textbooks alone.
It is learnt by identifying opportunities, validating ideas, making decisions, solving problems, working with customers, managing money and learning from real outcomes.
The Diploma in Entrepreneurial Leadership is a first-of-its-kind 10-month experiential programme that enables students to conceive, validate, launch and operate a real venture while pursuing their regular degree at Jagran Lakecity University.
This is not entrepreneurship theatre.
It is an opportunity to experience the complete entrepreneurial journey while you are still in college.

The programme has an estimated market value of over ₹1 lakh, but as a strategic initiative of Jagran Lakecity University, it is being offered free of cost to selected JLU students.
More importantly, selected ventures will also receive University seed funding to build, launch and operate their businesses during the Diploma.
The most promising ventures will be considered for incubation at the JLU Incubator, where they may receive continued mentoring, infrastructure and opportunities for further investment.

How the Journey Works
The Diploma mirrors the journey followed by entrepreneurs in the real world.
- Every stage combines expert learning with immediate execution.
- A masterclass is never the end of learning.

- An entrepreneur teaches Business Planning.
- You prepare the Business Plan for your own venture.
- A sales expert teaches Sales.
- You go out and acquire your own customers.
- A finance entrepreneur teaches Financial Statements.
- You prepare the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow Statement for your own venture.
- Every classroom session is immediately followed by execution on your own business.
- That is how entrepreneurship is learnt.

From all Schools and disciplines of Jagran Lakecity University.
Team Formation
- Students are strongly encouraged to apply in teams of 3–5 members.
- Teams with diverse skills and backgrounds generally perform better and are therefore strongly preferred during the selection process.
- Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
- Individual applications may also be considered in exceptional cases.

- While every idea is unique, the best ventures for this Diploma generally have the following characteristics.
Built "For" India
- Your venture should solve a real problem, address a genuine opportunity or create meaningful value for India.
- It may improve people's lives, strengthen local businesses, generate employment, promote innovation or contribute to India's social, economic or technological development.
Sustainable by Design
- We encourage ventures that are environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable.
- Wherever possible, your idea should contribute towards one or more of India's Sustainable Development Goals.
Ethical at Every Step
- Integrity matters.
- We are looking for ventures that are honest, fair and legally compliant.
- Ideas based on deception, exploitation, misinformation, financial fraud or any unethical practices will not be considered.
Small Enough to Launch.
Big Enough to Learn
- This Diploma is about learning entrepreneurship by completing the entire entrepreneurial journey.
- The best ventures are therefore those that can be planned, launched, tested, improved and meaningfully operated within the ten-month programme.
- Large, capital-intensive or long-term ideas are welcome, but may be better suited for incubation after the Diploma.
Ready to Build
- If your venture involves a product, we encourage you to begin with an initial concept, mock-up or simple prototype.
- If further prototyping is required, it should be capable of being completed rapidly so that sufficient time remains for market launch, customer feedback and business operations.
A Note for Big Dreamers
Have a bold idea that needs more time, deeper research or significantly larger investment?
Don’t worry.
Some ideas deserve more than ten months.
This Diploma is designed to help you learn entrepreneurship by completing the complete entrepreneurial journey.
If your idea is too ambitious for the duration of the programme, we will work with you to explore alternative pathways—including incubation—while ensuring that you still gain the practical entrepreneurial experience this Diploma is designed to provide.
